Love n Life

Hi guys,
Long time no see. I am seriously amused with people who keep updating their blog so often, I hardly have anything to write. 14th Feb, the day of lovers, the day of love.. , just passed so let me start this post with a small piece of poem (in hindi but written in English so expect urself not to understand few words)..

Kai aramaan liye dil me iss raha pe hum chale aaye hain
Apno ki yadein iss dil mein liye aaye hain
Kya batayien tumhe apane dil ka hal
Mohabbat ki raha mein aapna kil liye aaye hain.

This post is insipred from one of sid's post titled new crush?.
I am seriously amused with human(including me :) ) behaviour over time. When I was going to sid's post on new crush? I was seriously amused how our impression about girls change with time. Let me take u to a trip right back when we were still small kids. Back at that time, pre primary days, we were like Ohh! girls ya there are few who study in my school and one sits right next to me. Next, school days, we start hating them and try and stay away from them. Now u leave your school and get into a college(these days when your in 8th of 9th standard) u start understanding what opposite sex means, what SEX means and other stuff and we start getting attracted towards them and then after all that we think about every time we see a girl is,..............., You might have got what I wanted to say, so I prefer not going into the details. Weird right ? A tranformation from Harishchandra to Ravana.

Doods I am not Harishchandra too . I have had a few crushes too, a few ? let me correct myself, I have had quite a lot of crushes in my life so far, u see its like this I am a great admirer of beauty, but I will have to say this that none of them was strong enough to remember. But there was someone who had a crush on me and infact she almost proposed me.

And as far as guesses for siddarth's girl friend or crush is, knowing siddarth for past three years, I am putting all my money on CSD :) .

It is just round the corner

Hi,
It has been long since I made my last post, actually I was a little busy with all my senses occupied with CS :) .
This time all I have to talk about is this one great movie called "Lord of Wars" starring
Nicolas Cage and Bridget Moynahan. It is one good movie that I think all of us should watch and specially the opening sequence.
Other than movies and games life is at still for studies. The work keeps piling and every time I see Prof. Jawahar I just hope that he does not recongnize me and ask me about the project. I doubt if this is going to happen, since we haven't met him since ages I think he must have forgotten all about the project.
Life sucks at this stage..............

Now lets talk about the only good thing happening around..............
Felicity
It is just round the corner. For people who dont know what Felicity is, it is IIIT-hyd's cultural and technical fest. It is going to take place from 3rd to 5th feb. I am seriously looking forward to some fun. Lot of people have worked hard for this.

Life hasn't been easy for past few days

Life has not been easy for past few days , but I am happy that it is all over (at least for some time).


For past few days all that Goonzan(a friend of mine) and I have been doing is to decide what our so called BTP(B.Tech Project) is going to be. BTP is like FYP(Final Year Project) advanced by one semester by the great thinkers or should I say thinker of IIIT,the sole Einstein of IIIT, Kamal Carparkam .
The list of projects offered were not very impressing, mostly because we did not know what most of the projects were about , what their scope was and the most important of all because I was not sure of what I wanted. All the projects which looked good has some link with either vision or language technology, the two topics with which we never wanted to be liked with . On top of all this we had an option of creating our own project which troubled us even more.
We exhausted all our resources (brothers , cousins ,......) to help us decide. In the end we ended up taking a project under VV (who does not have a very good reputation as a project mentor). The topic is "Personalized search engine for mobile devices". This looked the best for us. By the way just to justify our decision , the project is sponsered by Nokia . All I hope is that it ends well .

Apart from that nothin much has been happening . And worse of all we haven't played BF2 for past few weeks or so.

Cometh the hour,cometh the first post

Hi every one.
This is my fast post on this blog . This blog of mine is just a tiny effort from my side to improve my writing skills . For people who don't know me, my name is Vishnu Modi . I am pursuing my B.Tech in IIIT H . I don't know what to write right now, but I have to start sometime or the other . Let me start with what happened yesterday....
Yesterday I went to Taj Krishna for a program organised by TOPMBA . It was basically a fair kind of a thing where some of the top MBA insitutes (from various countries) had their counters and we can go their and talk to them and get our doubts cleared, contrary to what I expected . I expected it to be somekind of a seminar where they will come and talk about various courses offered, which one to choose and various others . But this is not why I am talking about it . I main reason why I started this is GIRLS . You guys won't believe me if I say that I saw some of the finest chicks I have ever seen in past 3 years in Hyderabad . Man every thing about them seriously rocked . I truely wouldn't have missed a cell phone with a cam so much as I missed it yesterday . I seriously don't have words to decribe them . Apart from that every thing else was ok (nothing great to talk about) .
Today.....
Today's day started well, nothing new . As usual got up at around 9:00 am and till 12:30 am was trying to watch something interesting, but as usual ended up watching some crap (joey and justice leauge to be precise) to eat time . Then after that there was a big session of classes one after the other till 5:00 pm . But todays Globalization class was fun, thanks to IV (for people who don't know IV - full name I.V.Aprameya Rao is my friend, the gene boy , the topper of our batch and most important of all the driving force of our batch) . As it was coustomary we all started shouting IV.. IV.... every time the prof. asked us a question (there cannot be a better way to distract prof's mind and have some little fun), other than that the rest of the class was like "blah blah blah blah..........." but in some highlevel, technical language which I think only Pranav(don't ask me who this guy is, all that I will say is he is a PITA) understood . After that we had some good time looking at some of the projects made by ECE students of second year . After all this the most interesting part of the day started I , anand and prashant (sorry to put prashant in the end but I was always asked to put the donkey in the end :) ) had some interesting discussions . In brief (I don't want to make my first blog very long) we discussed about life, money, expectations, desires, maturity, our days back at school, responsibilities, and lots of stuff and the conclusion was Tpo is a gene boy . I guess that should do for my first blog any ways I will end with a short poetry (only for people who know hindi).
Rote rote zindagi ne hasna sikha diya,
Marte marte zindagi ne jina sikha diya,
Ab gila nahi zindahi se koi,
aasoono se hame pyas bhujana sikha diya.
